TVWS Database Providers Selected (All of them)

Posted in CommSearch, FCC, KB Enterprises, Key Bridge, LS Telcom, NeuStar, Spectrum Bridge, TV Bands, Telcordia, WSdb, White Space, companies, database at 5:18 pm by jody

(pdf) Adopted yesterday. (FCC DA 11-131)

Highlights:

  • All 9 Selected (Commsearch, Frequency Finder, Google, KB + LS Telcom, Key Bridge, Neustar, Spectrum Bridge, Telcordia, and WSdB)
  • Must attend OET Workshops where details will be worked out
  • All must supplement their previous filings to address the 2010 rules updates
  • Each database will have a trial period of 45 days before being released into the wild

Looks like from some of the language that the FCC still wants a heavy hand in everything (see paragraph 15, e.g., OET will make final decisions on issues affecting the databases and their operation and alldecisions will be publicly available.”)
